Hiace Hightop Campervan Specifications: Built
between 2000 and 2004
4 cylinders, 2.4 litre unleaded petrol motor, 5
speed manual transmission. Fuel tank capacity 60
litres. Average fuel consumption at 100kms
average is 14 litres per 100kms. Fuel economy
will go to 20-23litres per 100kilometres. Engine
oil: Multigrade 20W 50.
You will notice that the radiator cap is locked
down. Please check the water through the plastic
water bottle behind and under the driver's seat.
Every third day when getting the fuel filled ask
the service station attendant to check the level
of water and coolant in the radiator. Most
clients have trouble putting the radiator cap
back on a hot motor. So please do not attempt it
yourself.
The tyre pressure must be checked daily. The
recommended tyre pressure for these vehicles
are, front: 45psi (310kPa), rear: 45psi
(310kPa).
The spare wheel is located under the rear of the
vehicle and is only accessible from the outside
of the vehicle, behind the rear bumper.
The tools required for changing your spare wheel
(plus limited hand tools) including the jack are
in the compartment near the step just inside the
sliding door on the side of the van.
The cab chassis air conditioner works solely off
the motor when it is running. The engine should
not be left to run at idle to run this air
conditioner.

AM/FM radio & cassette player. Dual battery
system. Storage under seats. Dinette converts to
double bed, 1.9m long by 1.7 wide.
Bed in roof has a 17mm bed base board that's
capable of holding a 97kg person who 187cm tall.
We suggest a person of 187cm tall who weighs 80
kgs will be very comfortable in this bed.
The water tank holds 45 litres of fresh water.
The container is located under the driver's side
of the van. This container is not removable. The
filler cap is located on the right side, beside
the gas bottle compartment. The filler hose is
located inside the vehicle. (Fill the tank
slowly to let the air escape from the tank.
The vans are normally fitted with a manual hand
pump. If the van is fitted with a pressurized
pump make sure the pump is turned off at the
switch when not in use.
The gas cooker has two burners on the top and
one burner for a griller. Ignition is with a
match. The gas turns to high and low. Make sure
that the gas is turned off after cooking and not
just turned to low.
The gas bottle is located in the gas bottle
locker on the outside of the campervan. Please
ensure that the gas is turned off when you are
travelling. For safety turn the gas off at the
bottle. Gas bottles can be filled at most gas
stations as well as most camping sites.
The 55 litre fridge operates on dual power, 12
volt and 240 volt. The fridge will automatically
turn from 12 volt to 240 volt when the van is
plugged into external 240 volt power. To operate
on 240 volt the van must be connected to a
240volt supply. The fridge should be turned on
whilst driving.
A 240 volt external powered 20 Litre Microwave
is fitted to the Jade High top campervan.
There is a 240 volt light in the rear. There are
2 12 volt lights in the campervan.
Each vehicle is equipped with a fire
extinguisher- Strictly for the use in cases of
emergency. If they are discharged for any reason
you will be held accountable. Please tell us if
the fire extinguisher has been used so it can be
refilled. |
